Hi Nabiac community,

My name is Ryan Harsh from Wang Wauk and in the first week of August i will be treking the Kokoda Track with my son Odin. He is 14 and has wanted to do this trek for a number of years and we can finally do it together.

I served in the Australian Army as a Commando in the Special Forces from 2004- 2019. Our trek is guided by Kokoda Spirit in conjunction with the Zero79 foundation.

The Zero79 Foundation connect past and present serving Commandos and their families with activities to maintain social connections. They honour our fallen and support their children through life. Our unit has lost 20 members during the Afghanistan war and subsequently, from post war injuries.
